  1. Okay, the worst blow-out we've endured was when we were flying to visit family and had decided to use disposables to simplify things for travel. My little girl was only a few months old at the time, so she was on my lap. Of course, part way through the flight, I smelled/felt something. With no where to go, and no chance of getting out of my seat, I had to change her on my lap. And sure enough, she had a complete blow-out, getting every piece of clothing dirty. As if changing a diaper on a plane isn't bad enough, I had to strip her completely naked and start from square one! Not ideal in the itty-bitty airplane seats!

  3. the worst blowout I ever had was with pampers swaddlers. I think it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. She was only about 2 weeks old and this explosion went all the way up her back and into her hair! Once we switched to cloth I have never even had a leak. Shows what junk disposables are.

  4. my worst diaper blowout story:
my 4 month old was laying on her back on the floor when I went to pick her up there was runny breastmilk poop EVERYWHERE up her bac,k down her legs, on her hands, on her head, I had no idea how to clean her up so i brought her to the change pad in her room, and I put her on her stomach figuring it would be easier to clean her back that way, and when i undid her nasty disposable diaper, to my surprise there was still A TON of poop in the diaper and to further the mess it just poured down the sides of her bum, what a mistake that was.
2 months later we are converting to cloth, and havent had a single blowout with any cloth diaper, since we started using them 2 weeks ago! I would love to win a Happy Heiny's diaper to test out on my little one's bum!
    thanks for the opportunity!

  5. Worst diaper blowout(s) were on our trip to the Dominican. My little guy had one just about every single day and the disposables just couldn't hold it in. A lot of his clothes came home with poop stains all over them. I never want to travel without my cloth diapers again.

  7. I don't really have a great blowout story because we've always used cloth! The one time we did have a "cloth" blowout I was using a grobaby outer with a biosoaker and we were at the Library (of course we weren't at home, that would be too easy!) The worst part? The Library apparently doesn't see the need for a changing table - so I had to change a covered-in-poo squirmy 4 month old on the sink counter! It wasn't too awful, but there was poo down to his knees and up his back! Bleck!

  17. Worst blowout story has to be the time when I had scheduled professional pics right after my oldest woke from her nap. She always woke up poopy but I had put her in cloth (which she normally never blew out of). That day, hubby and I were all dressed nice and ready for pics, went and got DD and we got covered in poo! It was awful! Everywhere! Yuck!

  21. Worst blow out - was before cloth diapers. We were traveling and she had her blow out, luckily out of the car seat, up the back and all over her onesie.

  22. Worst blow out story was before we actually started cding.

We were visiting another church congregation as we were out of town. DD was maybe 3 months old. She had severe GERD as an infant so she was quite the umm puker to be blunt. Dh was holding her and she projectile vomited all over him. He went out to clean himself up and as I sat holding her (mind you it was quiet as this was in the middle of a prayer) dd started grunting loudly. Wouldn't you know it my dear sweet tiny daughter filled her pants and my lap.

I don't think we've gone back to that church. Bless em.

  25. We were sitting at the table eating thanksgiving dinner when my son spit up all over his pants and mine. Grandma came over to help and started wiping him down. I said just take off his pants he doesnt need them. When she started to take them off there was poop running down his legs and all over inside the pants she just took off. It was a very memorable thanksgiving dinner for everyone.

  26. Hi!
I am following ur blog and have suggested it to other friends. I am also following you on Twitter-

the worst blow out I EVER had was with my oldest daughter ( I have a another baby now). At the time we were living in AZ so we decided to take my 19 month old on a 6 hour car ride to Disneyland. In the middle of nowhere in the hot desert in June she decided to have explosive Diarmid. the kind that went up her back and into her hair and all over the car seat. There was NOWHERE to pull over to clean it up. So for 40 miles she rode if poo in her hair and her dad and I gasping for air out the windows.

  29. honestly i only had bad diaper blowouts with disposable...but i remember DDs 1st summer when she was a few months old i was picking berries at a friends moms house to make some extra cash...i had just bought DD a new stroller with a cream color pad w/animal print. DD was in the stroller as i was picking for about an hour until i heard the explosion from about 20 feet away....there was poo EVERYWHERE and i had to walk all the way across town to take her home because i forgot the diaper bag....the owner offered to drive me home..but i didnt want baby poo all over their new car :( did i mention the stroller was NOT machine washable and i had to wash it outside by hand w/a hose...that was fun in an apartment complex hehe
